Once upon a time I was that 254 pound girl. The girl that often wore baggy clothes, had low self esteem, was on the path of being put on medications for having high cholesterol and was a pre diabetic all at the age of 26.
What made the light bulb go off was that I did not want to be on medication at 26 years old and I was a recent new graduate Physical Therapist. I mean really, how can I tell you how to be healthy if I wasn’t practicing what I was preaching?
So I decided to invest in myself. I changed my eating habits and started working out. I took it a step further and hired a personal trainer who held me accountable and created an individualized strength training program. I started a great nutrition regimen and focused on self love. All of which has allowed me to be where I am today.
